Job Description

Join Moree Plains Shire Council as a Customer Service Officer based at the Dhiiyaan Aboriginal Centre. In this role, you’ll be part of a dedicated team working to preserve and promote Aboriginal history, culture and heritage, while delivering exceptional service to the community.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide friendly, professional and culturally appropriate customer service to visitors.

  • Assist community members with enquiries relating to Aboriginal history, culture, language and family research.

  • Support the administration of the Centre, including correspondence, reporting, and recordkeeping.

  • Help promote and deliver programs, projects and events that celebrate Aboriginal culture.

  • Liaise with local Elders to support their involvement in Centre activities and events.

  • Ensure the Centre is presented to a high standard for education sessions, meetings and community use.

  • Coordinate and support room hire bookings and access to Centre resources.
