Job Description

Looking for a flexible casual role where no two days are the same? Join our team at Moree Plains Shire Council and help bring local community events, functions, and venues to life!

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the Events Coordinator, you’ll be hands-on behind the scenes ensuring our venues look great and our community events run smoothly.

  • Physical bump-in and bump-out of equipment, tables, and event setups.
  • Keeping venues clean, tidy, and welcoming before, during, and after events.
  • Welcoming venue hirers, performers, contractors, and guests with friendly service.
  • Assisting with opening, securing, and closing venues safely.

Key Role Details

  • Max Centre, Moree
  • Casual (On an as-needed basis).
  • Minimum 3 hours per shift.
  • Flexible shifts across weekdays, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as dictated by event schedules.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

You are an energetic, adaptable problem-solver who enjoys working on your feet and working as part of a team. You take pride in maintaining welcoming public spaces and possess the initiative to navigate fast-paced event environments smoothly.

What You Need to Bring

  • Practical background or strong interest in events, functions, hospitality, or community initiatives.
  • Available for casual weekday, evening, and weekend work, with great team energy and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle physical setup, pack-down, and manual handling tasks safely.

Licences & Clearances Required:

  • Current NSW Class C Driver Licence.
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • Working with Children Check.
  • RSA Competency & Food Safe Handling Certification (Must hold or be willing to obtain at your own expense before undertaking relevant duties).
